Tsering Jong Monastery

The large campus is adorned with flowery shrubs, clusters of verdant trees, and a completely peaceful aura. You can visit 4 different monasteries throughout Bir, but Tsering Jong would be your favorite because it will make you feel so calm and refreshed. The prayer building is hidden deep inside the monastery, but as you walk towards it, you will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the sun shining brightly on its soft pathways and gentle green trees. You should arrive an hour before sundown, and the view will make it clear that this monastery is one of Bir’s best places to visit, and it doesn’t deserve to be underestimated with Bir Billing Tour packages.

Nyingyang Monastery

It is advised to arrive at Nyingyang right before the closing prayers of the day and as you pass through the aisle toward the idol, the monks will all scatter rice on the floor at the same time and you will feel a rush of joy because it is an unexpecting experience welcoming reception (although it won't be for you, okay?). This monastery is only a 15-minute walk from Bir, and it’s the easiest to get to. People also come to eat momos here, so ask any locals nearby and they’ll point you toward the best momo stall.

Sunset at the Landing Site

It's no exaggeration to say that half of Bir village comes together at the landing spot to witness the sunset as a simple ritual. The field which serves as a paraglider landing point is also Bir's most popular sunset spot, making it one of Himachal's most popular tourist spots. You can experience most of these spots if you go for Bir Billing Tour packages. It's also a great place to watch the stars at night, provided you're not afraid of dogs on the way there!

Chokling Monastery

Waking up at 6:00 in the morning, you can go for a random walk and end up at the monastery, which is about a 15 -20-minute walk from Bir. While you will be delighted to be treated to a beautiful sunrise view, there you can expect as well as a group of old Tibetan ladies, who gather there for their morning prayers. Whether you are traveling alone or

Bir Tibetan Colony

The Bir Tibetan Colony is a lane that serves as the lifeblood of the town, lively with momo shops and souvenir shops, a few monasteries, and uptown cafes along the way. A walk through this area is one of the best things you can do in Bir to get a feel for the place, the people, and the culture.

Dzongsar Khyentse Chokyi Lodro Institute

With the help of its courses and workshops, students get to know about the spiritual and humanistic principles of love, kindness, and trust. Located 7 km from the town of Bir, the Institute invites visitors to take a stroll through its pleasing green gardens and converse with student monks who have a unique perspective on life.
